Say helloA little about me
I'm Lelin, an aerospace engineer based in Nepal. My work spans rocket engines, electric propulsion and experimental research.
I studied aerospace engineering at IIT Madras. Since then, I've worked on propulsion design, simulation and testing, from hybrid rocket engines to ion thrusters for small satellites.
02Areas of focus
A few areas where I spend my time, from the first model to the final test.
Design, simulation and testing of hybrid rocket engines, including work on a 1 kN paraffin and gaseous oxygen engine.
Numerical modelling of an iodine-based gridded ion thruster, with a focus on propulsion for small satellites.
Microgravity experiments and soot characterisation at IIT Madras, through a master's research project in collaboration with ISRO.
03Selected experience
Research, hands-on engineering and the people I've worked alongside.
Space Research Center, NAST
Ion thruster modelling and liquid rocket engine design at the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology.
Mach24 Orbitals
Hybrid engine design, computational fluid dynamics and a static test campaign for a 1 kN engine.
Nepal Airlines Corporation
Analysis of Airbus A330 fuel data using Python, SQL and Power BI to study operational efficiency.
